all my friends bailed on me, a girl's parents wouldn't let me come over last night due to bullshit reasons, and I slept like shit.

On the plus side, helping a friend tune his car and possibly going with Jay to look at a car for someone else today, so at least the first day of 2015 will be filled with car things when I can get away from 'game day' at my dad's house.

Yeah, I'd love to be able to drive around and meet other Kansas oppos. I wish we got enough snow down here to be able to hoon, but it all just kinda disappeared off of the roads and parking lots and left me a sad.

I've spent the last 30ish hours in some form of drunken haze after an argument over petty shit shit with the SO. Tuning cars for the new year sounds pretty awesome. Anything called Game Day doesn't sound so awesome. What kind of car is it?

That's definitely fair, but I was over from 2-5 with no issue. Even their dog liked me, and they were fine with me taking her to work.

The thing was, its new years and obviously the two of us wanted to hang out. Her parents excuse against her coming to my house is "you'll get hit by a drunk driver" (she lives .5 miles away) and their argument against me going over is that there were "too many people over there".

now if the reason was "we aren't comfortable with you making out with a guy we hardly know on midnight on new years" or something i would respect that, but giving bullshit reasons is just insulting to both of us.

My best friend in school had a 1976 LeSabre that we used to ride around in all the time. That thing was such a beast, and a gas hog. God, I loved that car, I ended up buying it from his grandparents after it died, and I used to sit in it and just remember the fun times.
